Our School
INSTITUTO BILINGÜE VICTORIA, founded in 1993 by a group of mostly British teachers, is located in the colonial city of Tequisquiapan only 50 minutes away from the city of Querétaro.

VICTORIA aims to create as many opportunities for students as possible. Our international style and commitment to education make us very different from other schools.
Our work is based on bicultural programmes which encourage academic achievement as well as the intellectual, emotional, social and physical development of the pupils. Our focus is on individual attention, so our average class size is 13 and our maximum class size is 25 students.
There is no religious education in VICTORIA. Families with many different beliefs enjoy a VICTORIA education without prejudice or discrimination. Universal values of honesty, dignity, service and respect for others are taught in VICTORIA. There are ethics and civics classes in school but children learn mostly by example. In all our actions and statements we try to set a good example for students.
Pre-Kinder students have access to a play centre in English. Kindergarten is incorporated with the SEP and students learn in both English and Spanish.
Both the Primary and Secondary departaments are also incorporated in the SEP and students follow a programme based on SEP combined with British National Curriculum guidelines. Primary teachers in VICTORIA use the Cambridge Primary Programmes.
In Prepa students follow the IGCSE, AS and A Level programmes from the University of Cambridge in England. Students graduate with SEP, UNAM, and University of Cambridge certificates, recognised and accepted nationally and internationally.
