Art and Design at Victoria

Art and Design at Victoria inspires pupils to develop as artists or designers in a creative and stimulating environment. We believe in the importance of developing and strengthening technical skills throughout a wide range of media, as well as providing pupils with the skills necessary to become independent and creative learners.

In addition, Victoria pupils from Kinder through to Prepa take part in exciting events which reinforce that learning is something not only confined to the classroom. Every year we have ‘Live Art’ where pupils, teachers, parents and people from the local community come together for a live interactive art event. ‘The Big Draw’ is week of art activities for everybody, spread across all subject areas and rounded off with an energetic and creative exhibition. The school production is a chance for every pupil at Victoria to have hands on participation in designing and making stage sets, props and costumes.

These are just a few of the events on which we pride ourselves at Victoria. We believe that by introducing pupils to creative and exciting ways of expression and new developments in the world of art and design, we can challenge pupils and motivate them to reach social well being and academic success.
