An excellent teacher is much more than a highly qualified one. VICTORIA interviews only qualified teachers but looks for an interest in the art of teaching, an enthusiasm to learn more about the educational process, an empathy with the students and some special quality. Our national and international teachers bring a wealth of experience, knowledge, teaching techniques and approaches to the school where they are encouraged to share their skills.
The Saturday Teachers Teaching Teachers sessions with the international schools of Mexico City have proved very popular and our termly INSET days enriched by inviting one of these 'experts' for a practical demonstration.
VICTORIA teachers are not only well qualified, they are also well planned and supported. Preparing their classes, they are responsible for planning the work of teaching assistants. Bilingual teaching assistants, available to all teachers, can be a huge help working with small groups or monitoring an individual student; helping to make a good lesson a great one!
